I have mild to moderate inflammatory acne on my face, upper arms, back, and the back of my neck. I been to the dermotologist and she perscribed me a cream. Nothing seems to work, I take very good care of my skin. So I was wondering how bad acne has to be to be put on Accutane, because I really want to go on it because I heard it's very powerful and effective, but I don't know if she'll let me. Anybody know?

I'm 24 and have a history of bad depression in the past (it runs in the family). I've read about Accutane and that it can cause suicidal depression. Does the fact that I have a history of depression make me more likely to suffer these types of side effects?

Hi, my dermatologist finally prescribed me some accutane to control my acnes. I am femail. 21 and not sexcually active.

and as I read the instrcution booklet it says "start your medication 2nd or 3rd day of your menstrual cycle",
I haven't heard about that from my dermatologist though. Is that an instruction for sexually active people?? Or should all females follow that?

I am going in tommorow morning to get a blood test done for my dermatologist to get a prescription for accutane.I've been on tetracyline for about 3 weeks and has done nothing for me.If i go tommorow morning will it affect the results.My dosage was quite low 250mg once a day.

So for the the past 3 months I've been taking vitamin b5 (pantothenic acid) in a 20g mega dose. Now, should i gradually reduce the amount of B5 that i am taking, or just cut out the vitamin completly once i start my accutane treatment.

I got accutane.. and I take it three times a week.
I've been using it for about a month or two now..
I dont see results really, it looks like the acne got a bit worse.
I dont wash my face as much, because i used to wash it because of the oil. but accutane takes off all the oils on my skin, so.... yea...

But how long do you think it'll take before i see things getting better?

I started accutane 6 weeks ago, and it has proved to be quite a tease. Initially, I cleared right up only to break-out about a week later. Since then, I have periods of 3-5 days of a clear face followed by 4-6 days of several blemishes. I never want to rejoice when my face clears up again, because I know it will be short-lived. Will I ever be completely clear? I just need a little reassurance. Thanks!

I am on zopilcone, half a tablet per every two days. Is it okay for me to take low dose accutane daily while on a prescription sleeping pill, both low dose.

My lips aren't just dry and chapped, they are peeling off minute by minute. It looks like I have bigger lips because the redness has extended out onto my skin. I miss my old lips ): How do I get rid of these harsh peeling inflamed lips due to my 3rd month on Accutane?
