Need information ranging from what soap or facial wash to use to anti-acne creams, etc. Please help! My breakouts just won't give up and benzoyl peroxide (Panoxyl) cream gives me dark spots on the acne area that's equally difficult to remove. Is there any other anti-acne cream out there that doesn't darken the acne area? I'm planning to buy Proactiv. Is it any good?

I've noticed that after a few months, acne treatments fail me. What are some good treatments that you have used? Do you have any allergies? I think I am allergic to benzoyl peroxide; I developed a mild irritation. Currently I am using the Vichy Normaderm line but I am looking for something to use on the acne, not any facial washes/lotions since Vichy is great when it comes to washes and lotions.

Is it possible that accutane could make acne worse in the long run? I might go on accutane and would like to know that if it doesnt work out that I'll atleast be able to go back to my current benzoyl peroxide regimen with atleast the same success I had pre-accutane. Accutane shouldnt cause break outs in new places or make current break outs worse can it?

I have cystic acne and have a zit coming up on the very edge of my lip. Unfortunately, I now look like I have a fat lip and I work in a looks focused office! I can't use my spot cream that I normally use on my lips b/c it has benzoyl peroxide(spelling I know) in it. Any ideas to at least bring the swelling down? I used a hot washcloth to no avail.

My doctor told me to not come to him anymore because my face is clear to go. But, he gave me some benzoyl peroxide face wash to use morning and night. I still have acne scar and left over marks on my face from past acne. Would I still be able to use neutrogena acne scar fade peel while I am on the benzoyl peroxide for my face at the same time? Would it make my skin more irritated?

I just bought new scar cream to try and get rid of my old acne scars but I still use a 2% benzoyl peroxide acne cream to keep the zits down. How should I use them together

I have tried so many different products (Proactiv, Acne Free, anything containing Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid) and it just doesn't work. I don't have really serious acne, but I continue to have breakouts. I've been told it may be stress related. Please do not suggest I go to a dermatologist, I cannot afford one.

I'm only 14 and before i really dont have pimples but now i've got pimples on my forehead and it's really becoming too worst and it's now spreading ong my cheeks and chins. I want an effective way to cure my problem. I want also the fastest way, as much as possible within 2 weeks, I'm not askingfor the total result but at least it may reduce my pimples up to 50% within 2 weeks because I will join a competition. I've use a lot of product, I've tried benzoyl peroxide but it's to harsh for me. And also as much as possible I want the most cheapest way.

I have had acne since I was about 13 and I am now 19. My acne isn't cystic or terrible, but it bothers me that I still have any acne at all since I have already done two courses of accutane and tons of other topical and oral medications. I wash with benzoyl peroxide and I have a very healthy lifestyle. It is getting very depressing though because I'm ready for the whole acne stage to end. Any suggestions?

I've never got acne before or had a problem, maybe occasionally a pimple or too. I'm a 25 year old male and now have deep, swelling , cystic acne around my chin area. It's only like 2 or 3 but there big and they hurt. What am I doing wrong? I was my face with dial anti bacterial soap twice a day? Could it be that? Or could it be that I'm using benzoyl peroxide too much to clean the skin and its irrating the skin and causing swelling. The last thing I can think about is that I sometimes like to try to pop the pimples around my chin and the chin area may just be real tendor and then I cause cystic acne? What do you think?
