I've had problems with acne since middle school. I've gone to dermatolgists and have used all sorts of medicine from them and nothing. I've even used ProActive for a couple of years with only mediocre (if thats how you spell it) results. So I was wondering, instead of going back to the doctors, what are some of the best drugstore acne treatments out there? I have sensitive skin also so I have to be careful. And if anyone knows what makeup will help me not to breakout, that'd be great too.

And please, no one say ProActive. I'm not trying that again.

Yes I know all about it and its effects, i've already taken it once years ago, but now i'm seeing a new doctor and although my skin is really bad, doctors won't prescribe it now unless its really REALLY bad. I haven't went to my appointment yet but I just know that they probably won't give it to me. Nothing else works... I have taken so many different types of antibiotics and tried a million different prescribed creams and absolutely nothing works besides accutane. What to do?

I just recently got a cystic pimple... I went to the doctors and they prescribed me docycycl, I'm supposed to be on it for a little over 2 weeks. Has anyone ever used this for cystic acne? Has it worked... and about how long does it take to see results?

From the doctors initial decision to put you on accutane, how long does it take before you actually start accutane? Can someone whose done it walk me through it? Thanks

I had gone to the doctors before and the doctor wnats to put me on Accutane. The doctor said that since I have tried everything to get my acne away she wnats me to try accuntane since many people have been treated with this. I am tryiong to decide if I should. Some of the things that concern me are having to give blood every month. Now some may think well its only a little shot, but to me I swear I run from the sight of needles. For example, I had gone to the doctors-- my mom went with me and once they said about taking my blood I said no way and started to get upset. How would someone react to this? The doctor was a little confused about me being scared of the needle since she said it is only a pinch. I keep wnating to go on Accutane to get my acne away, but it seems I always stop myself because of the whole taking blood. I have actually been through alot of surgeries so many people around me are kind of confused, but it seems no matter what I do I still can't grab a hold of my sense and just let the doctor do it. What would you do? I keep thinking about going on Accutane, but the sight of the needle always haunts me. For example, I made another appointment to get on the Accutane and right when they said about needles i freaked out even when I knew they needed to do it. I would love to get on this , but my fear of needles keeps getting in the way. Please let me know what I should do?

Also I am afraid of the side effects with getting depression. The doctor said I already have signs of depression so their should be nothing to worry about. I honestly don't want to have to deal with my thoughts if my depression increases.

I want to go to my doctors and get Accutane But ..
i dont have many many pimples but i do have quite a few and they will no go away, will the Dr still give me Accutane?
also i have read abot the side affects, they seem SOOO scary, how can something so small cause suicide! or depression??? ... oh an how much is Accutane in australia QLD

I use Dermatopix to wash my skin at night and I also use Ziana. Doctors say it's good to use this stuff, but I feel like it's unhealthy. It has helped my acne a little, but in its place I have dry, discolored skin. Is there a way I can simply drop the medications and use natural remedies? Or will it only make my skin worse?
