I am in middle school. I'm half black and half hispanic. My skin is part oily and part dry. I've used the 'old' proactive and some products from clean & clear. But nothing has worked what acne treatment should I use? I also have some acne scars and I want to get rid of that too.

I have seen sooooo many types of acne treatments on T.V. (Ex. proactive, clearasil, neutrogena, clean & clear)All of them claim to better than proactive so which is the best?

I've tried several kinds but they all work only like the first week i use them and then that's it! they don't work anymore! What acne treatment works best for you?? plz help!! =D what works best - clean and clear, proactive, neutrogena, skin id, clearisil..???

I've had problems with acne since middle school. I've gone to dermatolgists and have used all sorts of medicine from them and nothing. I've even used ProActive for a couple of years with only mediocre (if thats how you spell it) results. So I was wondering, instead of going back to the doctors, what are some of the best drugstore acne treatments out there? I have sensitive skin also so I have to be careful. And if anyone knows what makeup will help me not to breakout, that'd be great too.

And please, no one say ProActive. I'm not trying that again.

what is something that I can do to get rid of mild acne by monday. I have tried alot of products, including proactive, but hey don't work well for me. I don't even have a lot of acne, just a little and it bugs me. Is there something you can make yourslef at home to get rid of it?

I'm 17. I have tried the typical topical treatments for acne (proactive, and other creams) and oral antibiotics (monocycline, solodyn). Nothing really seems to work... and my acne leaves behind little red scars (without depth). I don't think I have a SEVERE case of acne but would definetely like to get rid of it. Does anyone know about acutain/acutane? has taken it? if so please share some info about it or any other treatments that have worked for you.

I've used proactive and skin id for about 6 months each, without noticing any favorable results. I have mild acne, 21 years old, on a healthy diet and exercise 5 days a week. Any suggestions on acne treatments that work?

I am fourteen and I'm having some acne issues... I currently use proactive but I'm wondering if there are any facial masks that may also help. I'm 16 years old and i have some acne on my forehead, i've tried proactive and acne free but it takes a while for it to actually get rid of all of it so i stop taking it, just cause i get lazy. Whats a good acne treatment that gets the job done faster.

I've had acne for about 6 years now and I'm fed up with it. I did go see a dermatologist about a year ago, and he refused to give me accutane. My parents as well refused to let me use the drug because my family has a history of suicide. I have gone through every over-the-counter drug, and also about 3-4 different prescribed pills to help my problem. Proactive has worked somewhat, but only on my face, while I have it on my neck and back.
Since I am 18 now, i want to see a dermatologist on my own so I won't need parental permission to use the drug, however I do not have my own insurance. Any advice toward my problem will be a big help.
